Welcome to Still Want To Believe

This is an archive dedicated to hosting fics that continue the stories about X-Files characters after the series finale. The finale isn't the end of their stories, merely a new jumping off point.

All fics in this archive have two things in common:
a. They are set (at least primarily) after the X-Files final episode, "The Truth."
b. They acknowledge canon through all nine seasons (meaning no "AU after episode __" stories.)

Other than those two things, the plots vary widely, as they should. Here you will find stories about various characters who were still alive through season nine (and a few rationally explained resurrections that don't contradict canon), and many different pairings, both het and slash. Some stories are set years into the future; others mere moments after the final scene in "The Truth."
